February 13, 2024  - Illinous by the tracks


Nate and I went with Nathanial out to watch trains for Valentine's Eve.   It was a beautiful day out but did get cold after nightfall.  Nate basically looked to find trains again and I flew my drone over the lake for a few capturing nature.   Later after sunset, I recorded the only train that came through.   There was one that was sitting on the tracks and we are guessing it is the one that had issues.  That one did not come through before we left.

I also took several photos while the drone was in the air. 

 This photo was taken later in the evening and it is a beautiful night piece.   It shows the clouds as they are fding away to darkness over the lake.   At around this time it was getting really cold and I had retreated to sit in Nathienal's car just to stay warm.   


Here you can see the train tracks that were placed between the lakes.   It must of been a beautiful trip over them in the old days, when passenager trains traveld these tracks.   Now you see cargo trains that travel over this and the engenier is the only one getting to enjoy this beautiful scenery.   

Here is the beautiful sunset and it was gorgous over the lake.   The drone did catch a great picture of it.  Though you can not see them there is a flock of geese on the lake, they were busy communicating with one another and for some strange reason we never heard the coyotes that night.
